HOI AN SIGHTSEEING TOUR FROM DA NANG: SOME USEFUL TIPS YOU NEED TO KNOW

Hoi An Sightseeing Tour From Da Nang
    Hoi An Lantern Night

    Do not follow strangers

For Hoi An day tour from Da Nang, it is good to know that you should not follow strangers. It is important to stay cautious and avoid following strangers. Stick with your local guide to ensure safety and avoid potential scams. Always be aware of your surroundings and secure your belongings to have a pleasant and secure travel experience.

    Bargain price when buying

In Hoi An, most stores dont have fixed price for the items they sell. So, it is good for you to negotiate a little bit when you want to buy something. In early morning, avoid touching the items without buying as it is said that it will bring bad luck to the store for the day.

Do not try ginger and peanuts from strangers

Around Hoi An Town like anywhere in the world, there are bunch of scams and street vendors who make a living in a tourist city. Hence, if you travel from Da Nang to Hoi An day trip, you must know not to try street food from vendor. The reason is they will force you to buy it or they will overcharge you that you do not know before hand. Another reason is you might not know exact local currency note when paying them, especially in the dark.

For these items, you can easily find and buy in Hoi An market that is open from 5 a.m til 6:30 p.m

Do not buy candle from vendor without asking price

Another tip that Premium Travel Vietnam would like to warn you is you must ask the price for the candle before paying because the price for a candle is roughly 10.000 VND which is around 40 U.S cents. If you do not ask them price first, they sometimes charge you around 50.000 VND (around 2 U.S dollars) or even more.

Take sampan lantern boat instead of big wooden boat

Perhaps, taking lantern boat on Hoai river to float candle on the water to make a wish can be one of the most interesting things to do for one day trip to Hoi An from Da Nang. Our advice is you walk head down to the An Hoi Bridge (check on the google maps) and you will see many ticket counters along the river banks (with staff wear green uniform) and buy tickets from here.

If you travel with a stranger, she will take you to Hoi An market where you get on big wooden boat to sail to opposite side of the river where you are lost in the middle of no where and in the darkness. From our experience, these big boats are not allowed to serve in the main Hoai river so they do their own way to make a living.
