Day 1: Arrival in Dong Hoi
Our 9 Day Tour Central Vietnam Itinerary begins with the pick up at Dong Hoi Airport then we transfer to hotel for check in. The remain of the day is on your own.
Day 2: Full Day Phong Nha Cave and Paradise Cave
Today, we kick off second day in our 9 Days Central Vietnam Tour with a full day trip to Phong Nha National Park. After 1hour 45 minutes, we will arrive in Phong Nha town to explore Paradise Cave, Asia’s longest dry cave.
Phong Nha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in central Vietnam, is known for its breathtaking limestone karst landscapes, huge cave systems, and diverse wildlife. The park is home to the famous Phong Nha and Son Doong caves, the world’s largest caves.
This cave is 31.4 kilometer long and this is the longest dry cave in Asia. We then walk up the mountain then go down to uncover the beauty of this underground palace. Admire the stunning scenery provided by the Nature Mother.
Next, we then head our journey to Phong Nha Cave to have lunch in a local restaurant. Following the trip is to embark on a small motorized boat leaving for Phong Nha Cave. Upon reaching the cave, the boat takes us inside Phong Nha Cave where tourists can admire intricate stalactites and stalagmites formed over millennia. The Phong Nha cave contains an underground river, high rock formations, and large chambers. Thus, our boat trips glide through illuminated tunnels, highlighting the cave’s breathtaking splendor, making it one of Vietnam’s most recognizable natural wonders.
End our trip is to head back to parking lot then transfer you back to Dong Hoi. Overnight in Dong Hoi city.
Day 3: Dong Hoi to Hue Transfer via Vinh Moc and DMZ Vietnam
Our Central Vietnam Itinerary in 9 days continues with a nice car drive to Hue Ancient capital. However, our first stop en route is Vinh Moc Tunnels enable you to understand the Vietnam war.
So, the Vinh Moc Tunnels are a complex network of tunnels situated in dense vegetation near the former border between North and South Vietnam. They were designed to protect residents from American bombardment during the Vietnam War.
A full hamlet of approximately 60 households lived in tunnels for two and a half years, which evolved to include wells, kitchens, and healthcare facilities. In addition, up to 17 babies were born at the complex.
Arrive Hue, the guide will escort you to visit Vinh Moc Museum then we will walk inside to explore this impressive tunnel network. Since then, you can admire the bravery and intelligence of the local people.
Next, we are then heading our trip to Ben Hai River to visit 17th parallel. Between 1954 to 1976, the Hien Luong Bridge, which spans the Ben Hai River, divided Vietnam in two. According to the myth, every time the Saigon dictatorship repainted their side of the bridge with a new color during the Vietnam War, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam would do the same to symbolize their wish for a united Vietnam.
At arriving here, we then stroll around to visit old Hien Luong Bridge, 17th parallel museum and Flag Museum to know more the former division between North and South Vietnam.
Have lunch then we continue the trip to Hue. Arrive in Hue, we check in hotel and then rest.
Day 4: Hue City Tour
Today, our Central Vietnam Itinerary proceeds with Hue city tour, we then sightseeing the Hue Imperial City. Hence, the Imperial is a walled enclosure within the citadel of Hue, Vietnam’s ancient imperial capital during the Nguyen dynasty. It features the royal family’s palaces, as well as shrines, gardens, and mandarin houses. The Imperial was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993 and is currently undergoing restoration. End the day is to transfer you back to hotel. Overnight in Hue.
Day 5: Hue to Hoi An Transfer via Hai Van Pass – Marble Mountains
In the morning, check out hotel in Hue then we will transfer you to Hoi An via Hai Van Pass. This is a smooth ride over Hai Van Pass. This spectacular pass is highlight of our trip as you can see great coastal views from car and see some old relics of the war.
On arrival in Da Nang, we then sightseeing Marble Mountains, Thus, Da Nang’s Marble Mountains, where you will discover five gorgeous limestone hills named after the elements. You take your chance to visit sacred Buddhist pagodas, underground caverns, and picturesque vistas to enjoy breathtaking views of the coastline. Visit Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village to witness artists at work. This journey is perfect for combining spirituality, natural beauty, and local handicraft in an unforgettable adventure.
We then finish the day with car drive to Hoi An and check in the hotel. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 6: Ba Na Hills Tour from Hoi An

Our guide will pick you up from your accommodation and drive you to Ba Na Hills, which is one of Da Nang’s most picturesque mountains. Since 1919, the Ba Na Hill mountains, which rise 1487 kilometers above sea level, have served as a magnificent retreat for the French colonies. Day 7: My Son Sanctuary from Hoi An
Have breakfast at the hotel and waiting for the driver and tour guide who will come to transport you to the former Champa Kingdom’s capital and religious center – My Son Sanctuary. So, the historic capital of the ancient Cham culture that controlled central Vietnam from the second to the twelfth century, is far away. 60 kilometers from Hoi An town. Thus, My Son is thought to be one of the most well-preserved Cham constructions in Vietnam. The complex consists of seventy Hindu-style towers and temples dating from the second century where the Cham people came to worship Hindu Gods.
